Hello everyone,
I'm a PhD student in psychology at the University of Leeds running a research project on how close friendships can help develop psychological resilience, or, how well people tend to cope with difficult events in their lives. The research has implications for anti-bullying policies and community programmes such as social inclusion programmes, peer mentoring and care of vulnerable people. I've set up some partnerships with local organisations, including schools and council-run programmes, so the findings will be fed back directly into the West Yorkshire community.
I'm looking for both adolescents and adults to complete an online survey - adults are eligible to win one of five £25 Amazon vouchers. You have to be aged either 12-18 or 35-55 to participate, but if you know people within these age groups, please forward this message to them even if you yourself aren't eligible - I need 300 participants, which is pretty challenging!
The survey is anonymous and confidential. To participate, find out more, or contact me directly, please go to: http://www.psyc.leeds.ac.uk/friendship
Thanks for your time!
Rebecca
