Lacking Customer Service

After frequenting the hub on a regular
basis over the last 6 years i have to
share with you our awful experience with
the door staff at this establishment.
At the end of the evening we were asked
to drink up and leave which is fair
enough, however we said our friend is at
the loo and we need to wait for her as
she wont know where we were. The
bouncer then proceeded to start ranting
and raving sayin that we were being
disrespectful. He then proceeded to
threaten us by saying that he knows
people and would get us sorted out!!
Which is a total over reaction. He then
tried to assault a female member of the
group whilst his colleague stood by and
watched. We tried to speak with the
manager who didn't say a word. I would
advise female patrons to be aware of
this as he seems to target females on
their own. Having spoken to a friend on
facebook the same happened to her at
this establishment so BEWARE!! For some
reason they wouldnt give his name or
badge number so what does that say?

Have been to the hub on a regular basis
for the last 5 years and have
always being more than happy with
service etc. Having being on a girls
night out we went to the hub for last
few drinks. Only to be spoken to in a
rude and aggresive manner by the door
staff. So much so was
threathened by the member of staff
telling me that he would get me sorted
! All because I wanted to wait for my
friend who was at the toilet.

BISTRO? I DON'T THINK SO!

Since when did a burger bar classify as
a bistro?
What a shame for this little bar, for it
seems to have lost its identity and now
falls into the catagory of 'just
another chain bar'! No more charasmatic
staff, no more proffesional bar staff
who actually know what they're talking
about! No more cutting edge music, The
only thing BISTRO about the food is the
price! The high turnover of staff in
this place prevents it from finding a
direction! The beer is good though!

Despite all the other responses, I love
this bar and I am NOT a student!! It is
good to go on a Friday for the last few
drinks! The music is a wide range so
caters for everyone. Can get a bit full
but that just adds to the atmostphere
and at least there are no steps to go up
or down to get to the toilets!!

Hub is cosy, looks great and comes with
a nice backbar and beer selection. Food
is nice too, but this place has it's
downfalls.
WeekendsatHubaresuffocating(itisatinypla
ce),andoccasionallythecocktailstandardse
verelydrops.
For me,better off at Angels' for the
space, high standard of cocktails and
the unbeatable combo of amstel,lindeboom
and sanmig.(beats grolsch, carling and
becks anyday)
Funkier Musique too...
